I have decided to undertake a project. It relates to an issue very close to my heart. I would like to write about how mental health patients are being treated by medical professionals. We’re written off, have our physical symptoms dismissed and sometimes are even punished because we attempted suicide.
I have my own stories. But I’m looking for others. Whatever your diagnosis, your age (consent required for those under age), sex, country. I want to know what experiences you, as a mental health patient have had with the medical world. GP’s, ER doctors and nurses, specialists – even psych professionals who did not act appropriately. I want stories both good and bad. I would love to get in touch with any non-psych field doctors who work with psych patients as well. I badly want to do this and put the information out there – but I need your help. If you can, please forward this along to anyone that you think may be interested.
If you’d like to get in touch, please contact me through my email:

Thank you so much guys!

Great idea. I salute you for doing this and hope you find all the support you need. Don’t personally have such experience but I’ve certainly heard enough from individuals who have been involved in the mental health medical system to know there is a big story here. Good luck!
And your blog is gorgeous. :)
Thank you so much for the support! It means a great deal to me. If anyone you know would be interested and feel comfortable sharing I’d appreciate it so much if you could forward them this post.
Thank you for the blog compliment as well! I can’t take credit for the layout, but I do love seeing it when I log in!
I surely will, Leslie, if I think of anyone. Keeping it in mind for sure.
I really appreciate that, thank you :)
Shared the link to your blog on my Facebook page. Might get you a few more inputs.
Thank you very much! :D
